Another month passed between sessions. Plenty of time to heal up. Session 4 started on Thursday, July 27th at 3:00pm.
Since there was no more to draw, we got started with the needle immediately. We started at probably the most sensitive spot - the arm pit. I was not looking forward to that, but it wasn't so bad. Maybe because I was fresh, or maybe because I had prepared myself for the pain. Maybe a bit of both. At any rate, it hurt, but it wasn't terrible.
We got the wind bars done under the arm, and now they all connect. Pretty cool! After that, we tackled another wave, and then got into color. We did the two chrysanthemums on the inside of my arm. One of them pink and blue, and the other yellow and orange. They look great! The color really adds a lot, and makes it feel like it is really coming together.
This session lasted 5 hours and 15 minutes. I sure was sore by the end of that time. I was so sore after getting home that I had trouble sleeping that night. I kept tossing and turning, and finally woke up at 3:00am on my hands and knees in the bed. I said to heck with it, and got up (that is actually when I started putting this section of the site together too).
The pictures were taken the following morning after I removed the bandages and took a shower.
